Pick Up A Mountain September 2024

Joe , Andy, Teresa and Nate left Marysville Friday morning to meet up with Curt in North Bend. Four rigs and 2 trailers headed out to Naches.

After finding the perfect little tent spot between the river and the bathrooms at the campgrounds, the group set up and settled in.  Joe unloaded the raffle prizes onto the stage, it was almost half the prizes there, as we all signed in. Eric found us at the Jim Sprick community camping area and joined our happy little spot.  As evening set we sat around the very small ammo box style firepit Andy brought, trying to stay warm. When the propane ran out, we decided it was bedtime. After a very cold night we had an early morning wake up to a 8am drivers meeting and an all-vehicle photo op.  Then off to Milk Lake Trail for garbage patrol.

Nate experienced an oil smell issue after going up otter slide and he and Curt took the rig back to camp for Inspection. A few trail treasures and finds… a decent usable hammer, 1967 bottle, real steel sardine cans, Dana 30 yolk mount for front end with all splines intact, and 5 bags of garbage later we returned to camp for dinner and raffle. Eric won a beautiful hand quilted lap blanket. Then off to bed.

Early morning rise and pack up, breakfast of eggs, pancakes, bacon and biscuits & gravy provided by Peak Putters. It was a good weekend,  and an enjoyable time visiting with good people.

Everyone had a boring and safe trip home.
