Jeremy and I had plan set, work half day on Friday and head on out to Browns Camp and get set up, Dave and Tammy (LJ) heading out early to get to their RV Park on the west side and Dan and Sarah (JLU) getting a motel in Hillsboro… unfortunately, life doesn’t go as planned. The CJ motor install wasn’t going as planned and we worked until 4:00, stopped and packed up the WJ (2” puck lift and open/open) and hit a motel in Portland.

Tillamook May 2017

The run started 3 weeks before the actual days of the event this year when we discovered that the preferred campground was closed for improvements. After much back and forth we decided to try Cedar Creek which worked out since Rick and Jennifer were going to be there on Wed and could work on getting an area for the group. Yep.  A number of meetings ago – John Lane made an eloquent appeal that Tamers just weren’t getting out enough to enjoy each other’s company and go wheeling together.  Between the economy beating up our wallets, and a general almost-weeniness about it being too cold, wet, crappy – or just a little too much work to go wheeling for a weekend – it sure seemed like he had a point.
