With the weather report for the mountains calling for 1 to 4 feet of snow, I had to get a few people together to do a quick snow run. We met at the trestle at about 10:30 am. We were suppose to be there at 10:15 am but traffic was a little bit slow and then on the main road into to trestle there was a downed power line.

Joe, Steve, Ken, Ryan and I all decided that we would meet up for breakfast at 7:30 AM in Monroe at the Buzz Inn. After breakfast we headed out to the trail to meet up with anyone else that planned to go. We got to the trestle around 9:10 or so and aired down. We waited until precisely 9:28 and everyone was asking what we were going to do and I said that since I was the leader that we shall go! We did a quick driver meeting and headed up the hill. It was just us 4 rigs at that time.

The alarm clock going off, with birds singing and the sounds of the babbling brook near our house and the sun peeking out…. Oh wait That was the dream I was having…. It was more like the alarm BLARING, still dark out and everything totally frozen including the babbling brook. Hell it wasn’t even light out yet and the moon was still Bright n full. In any case when we get up to an alarm clock in my house it is almost always because we are doing something fun that day. Today was going to be no exception. I was in charge of the first group going to Tonga Ridge today. The goal was to make high point and get the Hangover trophy. Christmas Tree Run Dec 2017
I had sent out a reminder/detailed description including maps to the whole Timber Tamer group and it even included a Tamer Turn (U-turn) in the directions. How it got in there I don’t know, but no one said anything… LOL. Continue reading “Christmas Tree Run Dec 2017”

Christmas Tree Run Dec 2015
Some of us started the day at 6:45 am (yikes) at Everett Mall, to give NW Harvest our collected donation, and some food items. Although it was very early for some of us, there were 8 rigs there, well, 7 and an anonymous FJ that didn’t want to go through the Parade, as he is really a Jeep owner…and didn’t want to be seen driving a Yoter. Christmas Tree Run Dec 2009
One more Tamer tree run for the books. John, Terry and I started off the morning at the Everett Mall with a donation to NW Harvest. As luck would have it I drove up to make the presentation of the $772 raised and King 5 was doing a live feed. I then got to make the donation on camera live and show that I have no on camera talent what so ever. Continue reading “Christmas Tree Run Dec 2009”

Tonga Ridge April 2005
Hello, The run was great and my father in law thoroughly enjoyed himself. Five rigs started the trip, John and Gina, Mike G, Mary, John’s friends in the white Toyota and us. We stopped at the turnout under the railroad bridge so Mike could unload and the rest of us could air down. Continue reading “Tonga Ridge April 2005”
