Since 1971 the PNW4WDA Region 1 has been gathering at the Ocean Shores area the third weekend of September to clean up the Washington State Beaches. Volunteers usually camp in the same location together and then early on Saturday morning they go out to the beach for the clean up. There were a little over 100 people in attendance this year and the focus was on the beaches just outside of town as they are most often the worst due to the proximity to town. When all was said and done a large dumpster was full with trash that was collected from the beach.
