Its Only Tahuya Mar 2012
3/24/2012
Tahuya is the Rodney Dangerfield of trail runs because – “It don’t get no respect.â€Â It is rumored that some Tamers even passed up the run because (let’s say it together, class) “There is no challenge there – It’s JUST Tahuya.†Continue reading “Its Only Tahuya Mar 2012”
March Madness Event 4WP Mar 2012
If there was anything truly mad about the Run to the Lynnwood 4 Wheel Parts “March Madness†day – it could either have been that it was trying to snow as I made my way up to Lynnwood – or possibly that we had a very nice contingent of Tamers facing the cold and drizzle. We are wheelers, after all – but let’s have a show of hands for everyone who is ready to enjoy as little warm, sunny wheeling. (Yep – I see you all out there ready to turn the butt-heaters off, if only the weather would cooperate.) Continue reading “March Madness Event 4WP Mar 2012”

Memorial Day Weekend at Tillamook May 2011
Memorial Day Weekend in the Tillamook Forest.
A BSOTBAF kinda weekend!
Yep. A number of meetings ago – John Lane made an eloquent appeal that Tamers just weren’t getting out enough to enjoy each other’s company and go wheeling together. Between the economy beating up our wallets, and a general almost-weeniness about it being too cold, wet, crappy – or just a little too much work to go wheeling for a weekend – it sure seemed like he had a point. Christmas Tree Run Dec 2009
One more Tamer tree run for the books. John, Terry and I started off the morning at the Everett Mall with a donation to NW Harvest. As luck would have it I drove up to make the presentation of the $772 raised and King 5 was doing a live feed. I then got to make the donation on camera live and show that I have no on camera talent what so ever. Continue reading “Christmas Tree Run Dec 2009”

Time for some more work on the adopted Sunrise Trail at the Elbe ORV park. Mike, Claire, Amy, Terry, Mark, Greg, Shaun, and myself (Rudi) were all on hand to effect some repairs were needed and assess the over all health of the trail. There was a little snow on the ground which had fallen during the week but it was fast melting and was not really a concern. Once we were all assembled everyone except for Mark and I ran up the trail to check it out. Mark and I ran up the road with my Jeep and trailer as we knew there was going to be some work to do in the rock section. Continue reading “Elbe Work Party Nov 2009”
